"No, they're stronger," I reply absently. Now that these people don't think I'm going to kill Don, I'm starting to remember what I was working on before they barged in. "I'm the support. Technical support, you might call it."
He's giving the cakes to the Captain. Bandana is still hovering around. "Don-san's the support for our team!" he volunteers. "He fights, too! So, you're kind of a team."
I have to smile at this. "I'm not as good a fighter as the Knights are." Even though I'm technically a Knight, I'm not going to mention that to them. I pick up my sword and place it next to the rest of my equipment. "But everybody involved in our world fights." Except the ones who don't.
That's something I never expected to hear. I do train with Kouga-san, but I've never done so as a Knight, and the rest of the world either doesn't know or is sworn to secrecy. "Here?" I ask, slightly dumbfounded.
"Something to do," Marvelous says lazily. I shrug, smiling, at Leo. I think Marvelous just wants to test him. All part of push, push, pushing people to their limits.
I'd really like to go home, but it's going to require some concentration, which I might not be able to achieve here. Don's shrug makes me wonder if this is normal for his world or at least his place.
"I can spar, if you want," I tell Marvelous, hefting my brush, "But I also need to work on getting home. My partner was wounded in the last fight." I'm sure that he's probably safe and getting medical attention on the Senate grounds, but I can't let that stop me. Besides, I have a lot to explain to him.
I resist mentioning that it's kind of silly for him to try. He clearly isn't familiar. Instead, I nod, returning to my things and starting to work on how to get home.
Bandanna boy is trying to ask something, but it looks like somebody's gagged him. The rest of the crew seem more or less interested in what I'm doing, and I figure that as long as it doesn't distract me from figuring out where I am, I don't mind them watching me.
I cast a spell, glyphs lighting up around me, as I reach out and try to figure out where I've landed.

I absentmindedly take a plate of cakes over to Marvelous.

I grin at Gai, who's such a puppy, and always so earnest about making sure everyone's recognised. I'm so glad we understand each other now.
"We could spar," Marvelous says speculatively.
