I disengage from him, but stay on the grass, only a few inches from him. I can't stop looking at him. My boy. My beautiful, brave, wonderful boy.
I reach out and squeeze his shoulder. "Ah, there's a problem," I say ruefully. "My memories aren't quite what they were. But I'll do what I can."
