He split himself in two, by accident, and his consciousness split to compensate. I can buy that, I mean, it's not like the alchemists really had any fucking idea what they were doing, giving us three heads apiece. It could have happened to me, I realize. One of my other Cores could have gained sentience, if separated from me long enough. Right?
I guess. Who knows? We'll never know for sure, because all the Cores are gone now. And probably most of the Cells too, at this point.
