I give him another sloppy little kiss (or two, or three,) and then try to help him to his feet so we can begin to make our way home.

As I expected, there are people queuing outside. I try to force down my embarrassment as much as I can. I'm a pirate, after all, and Marvelous will be milking this for all it's worth. He'll be strutting like a little peacock right the way home.
