He looks up at you intensely, then lets go of your wrists and steps back, pressing a hand to the center of your chest. He can't quite force himself to stop touching you, but he takes shaky breaths and looks up into your face.

"I won't let you hurt me, Date," he says, his voice stronger and his eyes sharp. "You aren't hurting me. I want this. But if it's not something you want, we can stop."
