open to any Go-Busters players from any universe incl Mushverse, ogods what am I doing
I sit back in my chair, tapping a pencil on the desk idly as I think about the latest reports.
We've made so much headway. But there's still so far to go.
We've made so much headway. But there's still so far to go.

What does surprise me is my brother arriving as well, and while I doubt his positioning himself between Kuroki and Hiromu has anything to do with protecting me, the fact remains that his back is to me.
"It's not a good explanation," He offers, glancing over his shoulder at Hiromu, and I notice the flush coloring his ears. He's worried this isn't going to go well.
I can't say I blame him.
"If it helps, I was doing my level best to s'échapper when I happened to run into you, Kuroki."
no subject
I take a step towards him. "He's Emeric."
I'm infinitely conscious of both Eti and Emi. So alike, and so different.
no subject
Merde, his, words. I'm aware I might be the only one who recognizes the significance of what he'd just said, considering his habit of transposing words into French unnecessarily.
I still do the same, of course, even after thirteen years. Mon dieu, he might still be my brother after all.
Still, we can't let him leave. Whether he's still in danger, or in pain, or whatever else... Even if he's back to the way he was before, we can't let him go, for more ethical reasons that way.
We have to keep him here. That's why I set myself between Hiromu and the commander. That's why I hold a hand out to press against Hiromu's chest and hold him back.
"Call him a prisoner." I say, and my voice sounds weak. I hear my brother, my enemy behind me, scoffing. But he doesn't object. And I still don't know who he is.
no subject
He and his brother are in accord, and it makes me wonder just what Emi said before. "A prisoner?" I repeat with dismay, frowning at him, but the commander's nodding.
"Enter. Emeric. Will you stay and work with us?" he near barks. I don't think he believes Emi's in there at all, but he's... sort of... allowing the possibility.
no subject
I raise an eyebrow at Kuroki. He wasn't there, that night. I can't remember why not, though.
"I have no intention of working with you." I admit, finding I can't lie to him when my brother has put himself at a certain amount of risk to protect me from bodily harm. My current predicament leaves me at a loss as to whether I could even survive a direct avatar-dispersing shot to the head or torso. "But I cannot currently escape of my usual method. And as such... I suppose we are at an impasse."
no subject
"I'll sit with him," I say, casting a glance at Eti, then Emi.
Kuroki grumbles, "All right, but with a full complement of guards."
no subject
"So will I." I say, supporting Hiromu. I don't expect the commander to react well. I don't expect Takosawa to even let me get away with it.
But he might...
Damn it, when I hear him curse in French behind me, I know, he might still be my brother. And I have to be there, if he needs me.
no subject
Every step is another step towards getting Emi home to us.
"We'll escort him to a cell," I say hoarsely to Kuroki. He nods.
no subject
It's not entirely like looking into a mirror, considering the clothes and all, but it's close.
"You're not going to cause any trouble, are you, Enter?" I ask.
He seems surprised I'm even speaking to him, and scoffs softly. "If I wanted to cause trouble, I would have done so already, non?"
no subject
I've said it, and that's the way it's going to happen. Kuroki calls for a security squad to escort us.
no subject
It takes me a moment of consideration to position myself beside him, take his arm. I realize I haven't touched him outside of battle in... well, in thirteen years. And even so, this is different. He's only an avatar. But he won't meet my eyes.
I'm thankful for the whole squad of security. I let them lead the way and simply follow them distractedly, one hand at my brother's elbow.
He's muttering under his breath, and it takes me a moment to track that he's speaking pure French.
no subject
Emeric's speaking in French. I wonder what he's saying?
We arrive before long, and the door opens. I go inside ahead of Emeric.
no subject
I take in the doorway to the cell I'm to be kept in now while Hiromu steps forward first. I glance at my brother and sigh a bit.
"Are you coming too?" I ask him, mostly out of curiosity. He looks back at me, and I am stricken for a moment by the age in his eyes.
"I said I would. Go on." He shoos me forward and I obey, stepping into the cell, aware I might not leave it again.

"Here I was expecting a prison cell."
Etienne is in the hall still, insisting to the armed escort that two Go-Busters could easily deal with any infractions. I disagree as a general rule, but in my currently weakened state I suppose he's right.

I feel very petulant, but I suppose I'm entitled, considering I am still being held against my will regardless of how idealistic Hiromu is or how foolish EMC can be. I'm stuck here, I can't leave. That's enough for me to be irritable.
My brother closes the door behind him and leans back against it and starts rhythmically thumping his head against the door.
no subject
What's Eti-
I dart up and get a hand between his head and the door, glowering at him.
no subject
"This is ridiculous." I inform him simply. "What are we going to tell Ryuuji? Youko? Masato-san?"
Emeric... Enter... My brother scoffs from his position on the bed. I think he's trying to fall asleep. I didn't know avatars could.
This entire situation is so frustrating. I shift aside one step and resume the knocking of my head against the wall.
no subject
The commander appears at the door.
no subject
Mon dieu, he doesn't look happy at all, does he?
"Commander?"
I restrain the impulse to look over my shoulder at my brother, but for his part he's being cautiously quiet.
no subject
Kuroki has his arms folded. "What can you tell us about Messiah?" he rumbles.
no subject
Still. I squint at him and scoff and sigh and then shake my head.
"I have my programming, you understand. I can't betray Messiah willingly."
no subject
The vaccine programs are disturbing enough.
no subject
"I am not nearly as human as he would have you believe. No more human than your Beet Buster, to be sure."
