Welcome to the Dinohouse Christmas "meme"! This is going to work a bit differently from most memes, but still free free to do what you want here!

The idea:
Following this post I will be making an assortment of Universe/Location "thread" comments. These will define the specific scene and universe being worked in. Comments by applicable characters will follow under that comment.

Example:
Mushverse; Shiba Mansion; open to Shinkengers

Comments following that would all be set in the Mushverse universe, be by any Shinkengers that want to participate, and take place at the Shiba Mansion Christmas party. Think of it sort of like every "top level" comment is its own post to the community.

Following that example, if your desired AU/Canon/etc isn't there, feel free to make a "thread" for it! Say there's already a Mushverse Go-busters "thread", and you want to do something in Aibouverse, or something more canon, maybe just between two characters? Make one!

Comments following the "thread" headings can be group setting free for all, or between individuals. Say it's a canon GokaiGalleon party, and Gai and Luka want to go off alone, or are on their way to the Galleon together? Their thread can be a separate second level comment thread beneath the main Canon Gokaiger thread.

I know that's a lot of information/qualifiers, but don't let it make you nervous to post, "rules" are fluid, and mainly set for added organization.

I can practically feel Chiaki's presence, which is never something with which to be pleased.

Ah, I do not mean that I dislike her, or distrust her, or anything of the sort. Merely that when she is angry, she appears to expand in size and in impact on her surroundings.

I finish the slash at the training dummy, and frown critically, running it through my mind. Not quite correct, but she is there...

I do not turn, but my voice is welcoming enough. "Chiaki?"

"Takeru," I say evenly, watching him suspiciously as he tries to pretend he doesn't know why I'm out here. "Quit hiding and help me put these decorations up."

I sigh, and turn, resting my training sword over my shoulder. "There are so many decorations already, Chiaki," I say calmly. "Must we add more?"

[kogarashinomai]

I fold my arms and glare at him. "Yes."

You'd think, having everyone all together again and mostly recovered from everything that happened with Messiah he'd appreciate the chance to let go a little. But no, not Takeru.

[sonofshiba]

Ah, that look.

I must admit I did miss that look, when we were... well.

"As you wish," I accede, walking towards her. "I was not hiding, however."

[kogarashinomai]

"Sure you weren't," I snort, handing several of the decorations over as he reaches me. "That's why you're out here training while everyone else is inside getting the mansion ready."

I look with some concern at the spiky, brightly coloured things she hands me. I do not understand how these are festive. "You found me," I point out, a little peevish. "If I truly wished to hide I would have done so with more success."

[kogarashinomai]

Yeah, right. Let him think that if he wants to. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. Inside. Now."

[sonofshiba]

"But I-" She does not understand.

She also shoves quite hard.

I sigh, having found myself propelled firmly towards an area of my house which apparently has far too few decorations.

[kogarashinomai]

"Don't argue with me," I tell him firmly, not that I entirely expect that to work. "And put some of those up in that corner, would you?"

I point to the particular area and wait to make sure he actually gets to doing it.

[sonofshiba]

"Chiaki, I-"

I sigh, and reach up, beginning to wind 'tinsel' around the pillar to match what has been done elsewhere. If it must be done, it must be done.

[kogarashinomai]

"Good."

He's actually not doing a bad job; given a little supervision he might be passable at this.

[sonofshiba]

"...thank you," I say dourly. I suppose if I must do this, I should attempt to evince some skill at it.

[kogarashinomai]

"You're welcome," I reply, even though I know he's being sarcastic about it, gesturing at him to keep going.
