I pick up the mug and fix him with a serious stare. I'm almost positive he's slipped some alcohol in there.
But, well. It is a holiday. So I take a sip anyway.
His words catch me off guard and I consider my words again.
"I... you... did?"
Of course, he obviously didn't, or he wouldn't have asked. I take another sip and set the mug down again. "But that doesn't change the fact that I'd rather not talk about her."
