The SPD Rangers had gotten an emergency call from the Time Force Rangers and of course they'd gone running. Wes had said they were being attacked by two assailants and their cronies, with one of the assailants being the evil Black ranger they'd been trying to track, before he'd been cut off.

Sky was trying very hard not to think about why his dad had been cut off and just getting there was fast as he could.

When they arrived on the scene, all they found was a badly beaten Wes laying on the ground. Running to him, Sky powered down and dropped to his knees. "Wes?" He said, trying to swallow his panic as he checked his father over. He knew he should be checking the perimeter and making sure they weren't still in any danger...but this was his dad. He trusted Bride and Jack to watch his back while he made sure Wes was alright.

Once they got to the park, Bridge was pleased by Sky's choice of meeting ground. Open enough in case a fight broke out, unpopulated enough that things wouldn't get too jumbled (and he wouldn't get too overwhelmed) and generally just all together a good place for a meeting.

A good place to totally invade some possible stranger's privacy.

Well, for the greater good, and all.

Still, he's antsy, and almost as soon as they get there he finds a good tree and plants himself firmly in a handstand.

Now that Dai Shi had been defeated, RJ had decided to take a page out of Dominic's book and take a roadtrip. The years before had been preparing for when he'd be mentoring a set of Rangers to save the world, so now it was time he took time for himself. A spiritual journey if you will. He'd left Jungle Karma in Fran, Lily and Theo's responsible hands and decided to see the world.

Japan hadn't been his first stop but it was quickly becoming a favorite. It had so many interesting places to wander into, since that was the only way RJ could travel: Spontaneously. Wherever he found his spirit and his feet leading him.

Though right now, it was more his stomach leading him. The wolf master was hungry and it was time to see what kind of delicious Japanese food he could rustle up for lunch.

→ Post with your character [and preferences, if you like]
→ People respond.
Congratulations! You're both trapped!
→ ???
→ PROFIT!!!

Scenarios (You can use RNG to choose for you, or pick yourself)

1. Trapped outside your house: Maybe that super-duper, ultra-fancy security system with the ridiculously long passcode that can only be opened from the inside wasn't such a good idea, was it? And does that look like rain to you? Oh yeah, you're right. It looks more like hail.

2. Trapped in your house: You've locked yourself in, you're on house arrest, or you don't want to lock yourself out by leaving. Maybe you're not even at your house. Maybe you're trapped in someone else's house, at a party, or by a bet, or a robbery gone wrong. Just find a way out before you start shooting the walls out of boredom.

3. Lost: You're not trapped, you're more... lost. Yeah, if you could find that object of your desire you could get out of this hellhole. Unfortunately, the powers that be won't allow that. So continues the quest for the holy grail. Though, it doesn't help that you have to go to the bathroom, your friend's goldfish is dying, and that big screen Plasma TV is getting heavier by the second.

4. Waiting: Whether it be a long line, a car ride, or god forbid, the dreaded doctor's waiting room, ain't no getting out of this one.

5. Self-imposed lockdown: Before you can rejoin society, you have to get all that demon blood out of your system or get over that addiction. Or perhaps it's more crack-worthy. WE'RE NOT LEAVING UNTIL THAT FLY IS DEAD/THAT PEN IS FOUND/OUR DIRTY SECRETS ARE OUT IN THE OPEN. AND IF WE CAN'T DO IT, OUR CHILDREN'S CHILDEN WILL DO IT!

6. You're literally trapped: Maybe your head is stuck between two bars or you're stuck in a window. Point is, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Metaphorically, of course. Or maybe you actually are, I don't know.

7. Oh, here's the metaphorical one: You just go through the motions everyday, you watch everyone else live their lives, and that rut just gets bigger and deeper. What to do?

8. Trapped in an elevator: We just couldn't take the stairs, could we?

9. Trapped in a crowd: Maybe you're on a packed train or just a hallway where everyone has stopped walking and created a bottle neck. Or maybe you ended up in the middle of a mosh pit. Hope the person next to you is wearing deodorant.

10. Choose your own hellhole!

So the thing is, SPD might have a pretty decent financial backing, but it can't exactly cover for every single mission in entirety that way, it's just not cost effective.

So, even though there's three team members on this mission, the hotel room standing in as their base of operations is kind of small and there's still only...

One bed.

Right, well. At least it's a big bed, that's what Bridge is telling himself. And he's shared a small tent with Sky before, so the proximity isn't a big deal. Really, everything will be fine.

Everything will be fine.

He tells himself this about six thousand times as he sits, fully dressed, in the empty bathtub, with his arms wrapped around his knees.

Everything will be fine.

Maybe.

It had been a while since the RPM Rangers' arrival in Japan and Dillon still didn't have a clue what they were looking for. He knew Ziggy didn't either, despite his claiming otherwise, and he didn't believe anything Scott claimed to know on the matter. Flynn, Tenaya and the twins seemed more open about not having a clue, like him, or they were just better at hiding it. Whatever Dr K had sent them for, they hadn't found it yet.

Ditching the other Rangers, Dillon decided to strike out on his own for awhile. While he was much more used to being around friends now, he still relished being on his own on occasion. It was the lone wolf in him.

And it was because he was alone that he noticed the man having trouble talking to a local. The man was clearly not from here, being as tall if not taller then Dillon, and had the looks of an American poster boy. The uniform was not something he recognized but reminded him vaguely of the military who ran Corinth. It seemed like the man had a device that was supposed to act like a translator but it didn't seem to be helping him much.

Dillon waffled for a moment before giving a sigh and heading over. He might as well save the local the hassle of dealing with this guy. "Can I help you?" He asked the local in Japanese before turning a skeptical look to the annoyed looking Westerner. "You lost?" He asked, much less politely. SPD, said the other man's uniform, now that Dillon could see it up close. Yep, definitely not from around here.

[Simon wanted Dillon, and more Ranger action in Mushverse in general, so have Dillon with bonus Sky! Flynn can be around too, as I think those are the only three of mine introduced so far.]

After the incident with being drugged by an alien that caused Sky to act very out of character, he'd been taking every opportunity to be off base. It was all he could to sleep in the same room as Bridge without hurting them both with his nerves and overall discomfort. It's not that he hadn't meant any of the things he'd said while under the influence...it's that he had, very much so, and now didn't know how to deal with the consequences. Especially when it came to Bridge and Jack.

So when Cruger offered up this mission to check out this possible doorway to another dimension, Sky jumped on it. Anything to get away from overly concerned team members and feelings he didn't want to deal with.

As he stepped of the train, he was a bit unsettled to realize he'd stepped out of a what looked like a Japanese Hallmark store. Whatever joke the universe was playing, Sky really didn't think it was funny. But he pushed it out his mind, straightened his blue SPD uniform and set out to investigate.

[For [personal profile] spd_red but anyone who wants to play with a loopy Sky is more then welcome. Also, feel free to change the setting if you like.]

Looking back on the fight, Sky didn't remember getting hit with anything. Sure, he got some of the alien's weird smelling smoke to the face but he thought his shields had blocked most of it to the point that he hadn't even worried.

And even later, he still didn't think anything was wrong. In fact...he felt pretty darn good. He felt loose and relaxed and he couldn't wipe the happy smile off his face.

That should have been anyone's first clue that something was wrong.

The second was the fact that he was sitting in the common room, attempting to have pleasant conversations with everyone in the room. At least those who would talk to the Blue Ranger who usually only talked to his teammates. And was still beaming.
