I know. I know Dr.K said she was going to try and send us back on that crazy train that Scott took to whatever weird universe he went to help.
But I mean...
When he said he'd met Samurai....
I didn't think he meant.....
Japan.
Now, I know a little Japanese. You pick up some here and there in the biz. And no, I do not actually have a collection of questionable animated films stashed under my bed back at The Garage. I just. Well, in the Mob you pick up a few things.
Though I don't see how threatening to whack a guy in Japanese is going to help my situation at all.
So I fumble around, hoping against hope someone knows some English. Or I run into some other members of my team. That would be the ideal situation. I wonder where they all got off to? I don't seem to remember much between stepping off that weird train (that girl with the pink streak in her hair was really cute. Funny coffee though. Bleh) and where I've found myself now.
I wish Dillon were here. I don't think he knows any Japanese, but he can usually stop me from making a complete fool of myself.
Usually.

Date: 2012-06-29 12:24 am (UTC)I keep my eyes scanning the crowd as we walk. It shouldn't be too hard to spot Summer or Scott, their hair would make them easy to pick out at least.
"So, how do you know Japanese?" I slide my hands into my back pockets, trying to make some sort of attempt at hopefully not awkward small talk. I want to ask him what he's been doing out in the wastes, but I think I should maybe wait until we at least get settled here first.

Date: 2012-06-29 03:54 am (UTC)"And this is new?" He said with pure sarcasm. He wasn't too thrilled about the lack of direction either but considering they hadn't even really known what to expect on the other side of the train, he guessed they should consider themselves lucky they'd even ended up in the same place. "I guess we could ask around for these Power Rangers Scott found."
There was a long pause in response to Ziggy's question before he shrugged. "Part of my programming," he threw out. "Guess Venjix thought it would be helpful if his hybrids spoke the languages of the people he was conquering. More efficient." The only reason he could even say this without sounding spiteful was because he knew Venjix was gone for good.

Date: 2012-06-29 06:10 am (UTC)I pause, then reconsider my words. "Get my head blown off."
I go very quiet when Dillon explains why he knows Japanese. I hate bringing up his robotic side, the side of him tainted by Venjix. I had hoped maybe, during the time we've been apart, much of the virus inside him would have receded.
"I'm sorry," I say softly, honestly.

Date: 2012-06-29 07:27 am (UTC)The virus was more dormant, then receding. The Doc had said something about needing parts of the program to stay so some of the implants could keep working. He didn't care, honestly, as long as a) it couldn't became active again and take him over and b) the implants in Tenaya's eyes kept working. If that meant they kept the virus, they were keeping it.
"Why? You didn't do it." Something about Ziggy's apology made him uncomfortable. All he could remember was when he'd had the virus inside him. There wasn't anything anyone could do about that, never really was. It was just...part of who he was.

Date: 2012-07-01 01:14 am (UTC)I stretch a little, then a lot when a yawn takes me by surprise. I groan happily, my shirt riding up a bit before I fling my arms back down, swinging them a bit at my sides.
"Though on that subject, how's your sister? Can she still..." I make circling gestures with my fingers at my eyes.

Date: 2012-07-02 06:15 am (UTC)If Dillon caught Ziggy shirt riding up a bit out of the corner of his eye, he didn't react. Besides glancing over a few seconds later just to check. "Tired?"
"Yeah, Tenaya can still see. The implants haven't been giving her any trouble." There was an implied 'yet' there, of course. Just because the virus was still working now, didn't mean it always would.

Date: 2012-07-27 07:54 am (UTC)"Well, that's good," I nod firmly, lips pursued together solemnly. "It would be extra upsetting if she ended up following behind us to Japan in some other random location and couldn't see to find her way. Not that we can find our way but at least we can see to know we can't find it."

Date: 2012-07-30 05:47 am (UTC)"She wouldn't have followed us." He said with a definite tone to his voice. Not that Tenaya did what he told her but he'd have found a way to make her stay behind. They were going into this blind enough as it was, no pun intended.

"So, what's the plan now? Just wander until we find the others? Or do we have someplace we need to be?"
I remember Doctor K babbling at us, I just didn't really understand most of what she was saying.
