R-really? [face slows to a stop] Well... I trust you. You seem really nice, and I can't think of why you'd lie to me.

Eh? [cocks head] There's an ultimate treasure? [the closest thing he can think of is when they found the underground Enetron, or when Ryuuji got mad at him for the ~first time~]

[calms down somewhat] Ah, yes, there is! Or...at least, there was. We sorta, um. Destroyed it. [looks sheepish] It was for a good cause, though! Because we didn't want to use it, and it was really powerful.

[soft gasp] That must've been really intense! Well, I'm glad you and friends are safe.

We are. Thank you! [smiles] Ah, you mentioned, was it, Ryuuji, before? Are there other partners you work with as well? We've got six in our crew, altogether. [thinks] Seven, actually, if you count our parrot.

Yes! There's Ryuuji of course, and Hiromu and Youko-chan, and Jin-san, and J! They're all really nice, honest people. A-ah, not that you aren't, of course, I just mean they're not afraid to show their emotions!

We don't have a parrot, but that sounds very interesting! Is it a nice parrot? DO you have to feed it often?

Ah, those are a good sort of people! Our crew is pretty amazing, ah, although I suppose some of them aren't exactly, um. Well. Free with their emotions? It's okay, though, they're still good people.

And Navi is very nice! Although she isn't exactly a real parrot, like an animal parrot. She's a little robot, tied into the inherent matrix of the planet and a vital component to our navigational systems. [grins] So feeding her isn't really necessary!

Ehehehe... [embarrassed by all the attention] Ah, so you said you guys are fighting evil too, right? How is that going? Is it going well? Do you get properly fed?

Yes, we are, thank you for your concern. EMC gives us more than enough Enetron, but... I worry about Ryuuji. Sometimes he's too busy to eat properly, and lately he's been complaining about stomach pains. All I really know how to make are cakes...

Stomach pains? Oh, that's no good. [frowns] I bet I could fix him a proper meal, I guess the trick would just be getting him to sit down and eat it, huh?

[shakes head] No, it's not. I know he's the oldest, and a grown up, but I-- I worry so much!

... Eh? [eyes get all shoujo sparkly, don't bother asking how!] Thank you so much! And maybe-- maybe you could teach me, too?

Of course! [broad grin] It'd be my pleasure to help out a fellow, uh...warrior?

[pulls the encyclopedia back out and finds a corner that's not too scribbled on] Now, what's his favorite foods? We can plan out the whole meal and go from there.

Hmm. Well, he likes mild foods. Nothing that upsets his digestive system too much. A-and no spicy foods, please!

[scribbles down a few notes on the edge of the cover] No spicy, got it. Mild things. And nothing that would give him stomach trouble. [gives wink and a smile]

Hmm. [taps the pencil against his mouth as he thinks] How about ginger tofu, sauteed with onions and mushrooms over a bed of white rice? And then bananas and rice pudding for dessert. Would that go over well, do you think?

Yes, that sounds perfect, thank you so much! D-do we need to go to the store first for the ingredients?

Ah, unless you have any of this at your place? I'm afraid I don't have much of it myself, but we can definitely get it at the supermarket!

[hangs head dolefully] Yes, that would be best. Ryuuji is very busy, so he usually gets whatever is at the cafeteria. When he does buy food, it's usually for Youko-chan.

Well, let's get moving, then. There's enough time left that we could probably gather this all and have dinner ready on the table for him. [grabs the book and smiles] Shall we?

Ah, you mentioned Youko-chan! Is she his girlfriend?

Yay, yes please! [starts to skip off, but stops mid-skip when he hears 'Youko-chan' and 'girlfriend' in the same sentence]

Eh?!? [face spins once, twice, then thrice] N-no it's not like that, Youko-chan is his little sister! Well, sort of. He definitely thinks of her that way, though!

[was already in mid-stride and stops in surprise] Ah! Sorry! I'm sorry! I just assumed-

Waugh! [bops self on head] My bad, I'm sorry!

His, ah, little sister, then. [smiles weakly] That explains it, though.

[hovers over Don in concerns after thwaps himself] Y-yes. She was only three when she lost her mother, so he's been her nii-san ever since!

Oh no! [lip trembles] That's terrible! But Ryuuji is such a wonderful person, then, taking her in like that.

[sighs] I wish I'd had someone like that. But things worked out for the better in the end, I think. [smiles]

It is... but I'm so proud of Ryuuji.

[Mama Gorilla senses GO] I'm so sorry you were alone. I hope your friends realize what a wonderful person you are!

Oh, they do! At least, I'm pretty sure they do. [still smiles] It's enough for me, at least.

[pats the big metal shoulder] Let's get back to shopping! We're running out of time, aren't we?

Good, I'm so glad. [yelp] And, yes, you're right! Let's go! I've heard you can lose sleep if you don't get your regular meals...!
