It's good to be back in Japan. France was nice, but there's something about being home that just feels right.

I fall back into my sushi peddling ways with ease, putting my old cart to good use as I walk the city in search of customers. Daigoyou and my origamis are wonderful company, but I do miss being one of Take-chan's samurai.

Just a bit.

I set my cart in a nicely populated area, there's a school that's just getting out nearby, and lots of people milling about. I rest my hands on my hips and nod with determination.

"Gold Sushi, open for business!"

I look up from preparing a plate for an extremely shy first year, squinting curiously in the direction of a familiar voice. I smile wide when I see who it is.

"Kotoha-chan!"

I skip up to his cart and beam beam beam at him. "It's so good to see you! But I'll let you help your customer, first."

Manners are important.

"Have a seat ," I gesture for her to make herself comfortable at my cart as I finish up the plate for the student. Once it's handed off I wipe my hands off on a towel and leap around the cart to wrap Kotoha in a hug.

"How are you?" It takes all my will power not to kiss her on the cheek. Even though she's a dear friend, I am back in Japan. Manners, and all.

I kick my feet aimlessly against the stool as I wait for him, grinning as I look around. It's so nice here!

I squeak as he hugs me, and I hug him back as hard as I can. "Great! It was wonderful to be home, but I missed you all. How are you?"

"Fine, fine!" I nod, delight at seeing her still plain on my face. "Just got back home a little while ago myself."

I circle back around to the other side of my cart, leaning on it. "What can I get you? No charge for old friends."
