Well, that's true, even if it is kind of stupid.

[Hunter seems pretty chill about all of this, but Blake is decidedly less so. Which is stupid, since he's generally the happy and more laid back of the two, Hunter's supposed to be the one with his Brood on.]

Sorry. Guess I was lost in thought.

[He lifts his hand and looks at the ring again. It doesn't look... cheap, either, or like junk at all.]

[Hunter was trying his hardest not to think about it. Or how he would have rather have stayed in bed with Blake. He was trying to be a good big brother and not freaking out]

[he reached out and took the hand Blake was looking at]

What are you thinking bro?

[He laughs awkwardly when Hunter takes his hand, shrugging one shoulder]

Doesn't look like something we bought on a drunken whim, though, does it?

[He hadn't thought about it and he looked down at the ring on his finger.]

No, you're right. Looks more...permanent.

Yeah, it does.

[Hunter's nearby again and Blake shifts to press his shoulder to his brother's.]

I should... probably get dressed, huh?

[he put his arm around Blake again, holding him there.]

You wanna talk about the naked part or just let it go?

[well, Blake guesses he's not getting dressed any time soon, then, and he feels all the more vulnerable for Hunter being partially clothed. He found himself idly twisting the ring around his finger.

Awkward.]

Probably better if we talk about it, huh?

Want to get dressed first? [He couldn't help picking up on the awkward and squeezed Blake's shoulder before dropping his arm.]

[Blake sighed, but Hunter has a point. He rolls sheepishly out of the bed and goes in search of at least some pants.]

Do you think we really..?

[He wrinkled his nose as he looked at the bed. Not necessarily from disgust, just wondering if there was evidence.]

What would you think if we did?

[It's a damn good question, because Blake's not even entirely sure. If he's freaked out, if he's scared, if he's...

Excited?]

[Might as well be honest.]

I don't know. But I don't... know... if I'd mind. So much.

Really?

[Hunter's head snapped back in shock, since he'd been thinking the same thing but hadn't wanted to say anything to freak Blake out.]

You wouldn't mind if we...?

[Carefully, since he's not sure if Hunter's tone of voice is shock or disgust or something else entirely.]

I guess not.

I mean.

I care about you more than anyone else in the world, don't I?

That's doesn't mean you have to be okay with sex with me.

[Looks down at his hands with a long pause]

For what it's worth...I wouldn't mind either.

[the silence is unnerving, but it only gets more surreal when Hunter finally does speak]

[New information, that raises a whole slew of other questions.]

[Like who took which position...]

[Oh, Blake's blushing again.]

[Hunter had been trying not to think about positions but there didn't seem to be any evidence that anything had happened besides being naked so...]

[He stands up and moves to stand in front of Blake, hands moving up to cup his face.]

Don't think about it.

[Looks down at Blake but hesitates]

[Blake always feels like the little little brother when Hunter stands over him like this. He's a lot taller anyway, never mind when Blake's sitting and Hunter's standing.]

[He meets Hunter's eyes, taking a shaky breath.]

[Don't think about it. Just do what your heart says. All excellent advice from his big brother.]

[He leans up, straining, craning his neck, and plants his lips right on Hunter's.]

[And it might be something Hunter takes advantage of on occasion. Especially now as it helps him feel a bit in control.]

[Advice he was doing his hardest to remember himself.]

[He relaxes with relief when Blake initiates the kiss and is more then happy to return it, his thumbs lightly stroking Blake's cheeks in the process as he pulls him to his feet to make this easier.]

[Blake's just about to pull away again when Hunter starts to tug him to his feet, lessening the strain on both of them]

[It works, and after a moment Blake finally does pull away, panting slightly]

Oh.

[Blinks his eyes open and just...stares for a moment before smiling softly.]

Oh sounds about right.

[Leans down to kiss him again, more comfortable this time.]

[Leaning into the next kiss with something more like confidence, even bringing a hand up to rest on Hunter's shoulder, for balance.]

[But this one breaks too.]

Hunter... But what does this mean?

[Better question: what are they going to tell the others?]

[Hunter paused for a moment, just looking down at Blake.]

[He wasn't even thinking about the others. Just his brother.]

I think...We should not think about it right now. It's too...new. I think we should take advantage of that nice big bed and I want to just hold someone I love. Is that alright?

[This was starting to get a bit too heavy for Blake, and he shook his head at Hunter's suggestion, not to deny it, just to kind of clear his brain out a little bit, because it was starting to feel like the room was spinning.]

Bro, that sounded really... like. Double-meaning-y. Just. Fair warning.

[He tilts his head a bit, looking up at Hunter, trying to see him in a different light than just 'big brother' but... that is all he sees.]

[Oh.]

I love you too, you know. Always have.

[Hunter chuckles and wraps his arms around Blake in a hug as his face flushed.]

You know what I meant, dude.

And I'll always will. That'll never change.

[He sighs, and then takes Hunter's hands and pulls him back onto the bed]
