Welcome to the Dinohouse Christmas "meme"! This is going to work a bit differently from most memes, but still free free to do what you want here!

The idea:
Following this post I will be making an assortment of Universe/Location "thread" comments. These will define the specific scene and universe being worked in. Comments by applicable characters will follow under that comment.

Example:
Mushverse; Shiba Mansion; open to Shinkengers

Comments following that would all be set in the Mushverse universe, be by any Shinkengers that want to participate, and take place at the Shiba Mansion Christmas party. Think of it sort of like every "top level" comment is its own post to the community.

Following that example, if your desired AU/Canon/etc isn't there, feel free to make a "thread" for it! Say there's already a Mushverse Go-busters "thread", and you want to do something in Aibouverse, or something more canon, maybe just between two characters? Make one!

Comments following the "thread" headings can be group setting free for all, or between individuals. Say it's a canon GokaiGalleon party, and Gai and Luka want to go off alone, or are on their way to the Galleon together? Their thread can be a separate second level comment thread beneath the main Canon Gokaiger thread.

I know that's a lot of information/qualifiers, but don't let it make you nervous to post, "rules" are fluid, and mainly set for added organization.

I hum thoughtfully, giving my sister a small smile before I go back to looking the food over. We acquired extra this year, since Sousuke has been known to eat so much on previous years.

"Will the rest of the team be here?" I inquire gently as I turn away from the food, shifting to slide a arm around my sister's waist. "I heard back from Gunpei and Hanto; have the others been in touch with you?"

Our darling little trial screams down the stairs at us. And I wince slightly, then sigh fondly, giving my sister the same look I gave her to moment she realized I didn't hate Sousuke as much as I pretended to. Exasperated, but loving.

"If you don't put that tie on I'll come up there and choke up with it." I call back, much less... screechily than he did. He looks good all dressed up, and maybe later I'll choke him with his tie anyway. For fun.

"I'm hopeful about Renn and Saki," I murmur, leaning into him gracefully. He's always so careful when we're in good clothes, careful not to wrinkle my dress.

I tchh. "Sousuke!" I call. "Behave or I'll take all your favourites and feed them to the neighbourhood cats!"

WOW they can be so inappropriate. I assume there are no guests yet, or Hiroto never would have said something like that.

I hope.

Maybe.

"UM!" I consider the options they offer me carefully. "Can I not wear the tie, get choked with it later, and only give up half of my food to the cats?"

"You're wearing the tie." I call again, more firmly this time.

He dresses up nice so rarely, I have to put my foot down this time. That and I just enjoy watching him move in formal clothes, perhaps imagining I, or my sister, slowly undressing him come the end of the night.

I'm sure that's where we'll eventually end up, and I don't want him to slouch beforehand.

I turn back to my sister, nodding at her answer. "Good, it will be nice to see them again before... well before the coming chaos."

I lean in and kiss her softly, so as not to smudge her makeup. As this is an open party, not just one for our team, we will have to keep up the appearances of merely being siblings until we can be alone again, with Sousuke, at the end of the night.

"Maybe I'd better go up there," I sigh. Sousuke is so very Sousuke. He looks good in his normal clothes, but he looks good dressed up.

Ani leans in and kisses me, and I close my eyes, sighing a little against the warmth of his mouth. He always feels so good.

"I'd push you to your knees right now if we had time," I murmur softly into his shoulder as we disengage.

We don't. People are due any moment.

Hiroto is not in the mood to bargain tonight, I guess. Well fine. I throw the tie across the room once just to show it who is boss, then go and gather it up and feed it around my neck, scowling into the mirror.

I look past my own reflection when Miu comes into the room, holding both hands up defensively. "I'm putting it on!"

The knot takes that opportunity to come unraveled and the stupid silky tie slithers to the floor to pool at my feet.

"I was putting it on!"
